Aquatics

The aquatics department is another way to add an extra dimension to your workout routine. The pool and aquatics programs are always supervised by a certified pool operator, lifeguards, and instructors.

Since the pool is geared toward multiple users, the water temperature is maintained between 82-84 degrees.  In our monthly calendar, you will find special times for water aerobics, lap swimming, and open swim sessions. In general, one lane is always reserved for lap swimming throughout the day.  Because water alleviates some of gravity’s pull, these activities place almost no stress on your joints. A trip to the hot tub can also be useful in relaxing stressed muscles.

Group Fitness

Join us for the wide range of available classes, 100+ held a week! All free for Members! There’s something for everyone, of all ages and fitness goals. Including:Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Kickboxing, Body Blast, Spin Classes, Cross Training, Zumba, Hip Hop, Belly Dancing, Core Conditioning & More

Massage

Prepare for your session by coming a few minutes early for your appointment. A robe and towel will be provided for you. A warm shower and a nice relaxing steam, sauna or spa work wonders just before a massage.

Keep in mind, this is your massage, so make it a wonderful experience. If either the pressure or the quality of the therapist’s touch in any way makes you feel uncomfortable, please do not hesitate to let him/her know.  No one knows your body as well as you do.

The McLean Racquet and Health Club is proud to welcome our new squash pro, Jay Naseem!

“I currently oversee 5 National Capital Squash league teams as well as over 250 active players across the clubs.  I coach juniors and adults who are among the top rated players in their division.

My players  develop a life-long love of squash and a healthy lifestyle by developing a sense of fair play along with skills and the intellectual and physical discipline required to excel in the sport.  I have been coaching squash full time since 2008.  I have  a loyal following of juniors and adults alike who are drawn to my love of the game and ability to push and encourage my students to excel in their sport.  I emphasize fitness and mental acuity in my coaching –  teaching students not only proper technique, but the proper mind-set and thought process to play winning squash.”
