Ever since the age of 11, Juan Figueroa has had a passion for Tennis. Throughout his middle and high school years, Juan took lessons at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. These lessons helped lead his high school team to win 4 state championships.

After leaving high school, Juan joined the US Navy, but his passion for tennis did not wane. While serving, Juan was able to play tennis in Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Upon leaving the US Navy, Juan continued his education at the University Of Arizona, playing tennis at an intramural level and teaching for the city of Tucson. Once Juan graduated, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and began teaching for the city of Henderson and he became PTR certified in 2003.

His experiences and the people he played with has shaped Juan into the tennis pro that he is today. Locally, Juan has taught for the Reston Association, Fairfax Racquet Club, Ashburn Village and was head pro at Chesterbrook Swim And Tennis Club.

Juan enjoys working with kids and adults of different levels and enjoys working closely with players to understand their learning style. He has also had experience working with juniors and playing in adult tennis leagues and became USPTA certified in 2021.
